All the staff are friendly and accommodating. They treat you as an individual, not just another patient!

I've only been a patient here for 6 months but I'm very impressed with the surgery. I've never struggled to get an appointment, whether in advance or in more emergency situations, on the day. I particularly like the ability to book appointments online, although I know this is common at most surgeries these days. I have also used the Monday morning open surgery when necessary and have always been seen, usually within an hour. The only aspect of the surgery that could be improved is the attitude and manner of some of the office staff. So far they have failed to fax a letter (taking a week to do so which delayed a meeting with a consultant), had little understanding of the need to book on certain days for a smear test and been very rude to me on the phone when I needed some advice about a medical situation (eventually ending up in A&E). I'm sure it's just one or two members of staff who could do with some extra training but they could do with remembering that patients don't mean to be troublesome. Sometimes patients are going through a difficult time and a little understanding would go a long way.

This is a fantastic surgery. Very responsive and caring. There is an open surgery once a week and you can usually get an an appointment with a named doctor within 7 days. Telephone consultations are available too. For the past 3 years we have been looking after elderly parents with dementia at home. Dr Weidner advised us on the care possibilities at home and gave us the support we needed throughout the final illness of both parents. Her input and that of Dr Siva, made it possible for us to keep our parents at home until the very end, rather than place them in a care home or hospital. A big thank you. The surgery also has other services on site - a chiropodist, an osteopath and a physiotherapist.

They are in it for the money. Not open when you would like them, such as lunchtime, you have to be quick on the dial to get appointments in the morning, and don't make for following days, and practice manager excels at not answering questions. They are trained to avoid turning out to see people at home when they really can't get out, such as a mother with advanced dementia and Alzheimers - 18 months between reviews despite requests. If you don't plan on being ill, then this is definitely the surgery for you, and will welcome you with open arms.
